11 Vessels, Including 5 Tankers, En Route to Iranian Ports
WANA (Jun 18) – Eleven commercial vessels, including five oil tankers, are currently en route to Iranian ports after successfully crossing a blockade line, according to Iranian maritime authorities.
The fleet is expected to dock at various Iranian ports by late this evening.
Fleet Breakdown and Cargo
Iranian maritime officials confirmed that the incoming fleet consists of a variety of vessel types carrying critical goods:
- 5 Oil Tankers
- 2 Bulk Carriers (transporting essential goods and livestock feed)
- 4 Container Ships
According to authorities, the ships are expected to arrive at their designated Iranian ports by this afternoon or tonight at the latest.
Security and Transit in the Strait of Hormuz
Alongside the announcement, officials emphasized that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy (IRGCN) maintains “authoritative command” over the Strait of Hormuz. Maritime authorities stated that the vessels are strictly adhering to the transit routes designated by Iran.
