1,619 Injured and Over 10,300 Israeli Settlers Flee Amid War with Iran
WANA (Mar 06) – Israel’s Ministry of Health announced that since Iran began responding to Israeli-U.S. attacks, 1,619 people have been hospitalized across Israel as of Friday morning.
According to the ministry, 219 people were admitted to hospitals in the past 24 hours alone as the confrontation with Iran continues. Among the injured, 10 sustained moderate wounds while 198 suffered minor injuries.
Israeli authorities also confirmed that more than 2,300 Israelis have been evacuated from their homes after their properties were damaged in Iranian missile strikes.
Meanwhile, Hebrew-language media outlets reported that over 10,300 Israeli settlers have left their homes since the start of the conflict, amid escalating security tensions and intensified missile attacks following the launch of the joint U.S.–Israeli military operation.
According to these reports, the movement includes settlers from settlements in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, many of whom have relocated to safer areas inside Israel due to fears of a direct military confrontation between Iran and Israel.
The population movement reflects growing security concerns among civilians in high-tension areas, as many residents seek to move away from potential frontlines and gather in safer locations or closer to family members.
Israeli officials have not yet released a final estimate of the total displacement in the occupied Palestinian territories, but the number of people fleeing conflict-affected areas is expected to rise as the fighting continues.
