WANA (May 27) – The Navy of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that 25 vessels passed through the Strait of Hormuz over the past 24 hours under the force’s coordination and security protection.

According to Sepah News, the IRGC Navy’s public relations office stated that the vessels included oil tankers, container ships, and other commercial vessels that transited the strategic waterway after obtaining the necessary authorization.

The statement emphasized that “smart monitoring” of the Strait of Hormuz is being carried out with full authority and that the IRGC Navy continues to ensure the security of maritime traffic in the sensitive corridor.

The IRGC Navy also warned that any act of aggression or threat against the security of the region would be met with a “decisive response.”

The Strait of Hormuz is considered one of the world’s most critical energy chokepoints, with a significant share of global oil exports and regional maritime trade passing through the route.
