WANA (Aug 05) – The Prosecutor of Pakdasht County, southeast of Tehran, announced the identification and arrest of three individuals affiliated with the so-called “rebellious cells” of the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK) terrorist group by the IRGC forces.

Mohammad Hassanpour, Pakdasht’s prosecutor, stated that through the efforts of the IRGC’s Thamen al-Hojaj Intelligence Unit, three members of MEK-affiliated sabotage cells—who were allegedly planning to disrupt public order and security—were identified and arrested.

He explained that the MEK had been attempting to recruit and organize individuals through propaganda and covert communication channels to carry out destabilizing activities in the county.

However, due to the vigilance and intelligence dominance of the security forces, the network was dismantled, and its members were arrested.

Hassanpour emphasized that surveillance and countermeasures against anti-security activities will continue. The detainees are currently undergoing detailed interrogations, and investigations are ongoing.
