WANA (May 21) – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy announced that 31 vessels, including oil tankers, container ships, and other commercial vessels, passed through the Strait of Hormuz over the past 24 hours under its coordination and security protection.

According to a statement released by the IRGC Navy’s public relations office, the transits were carried out safely despite what it described as unprecedented insecurity in the Persian Gulf, particularly around the Strait of Hormuz, following recent actions by the U.S. military.

The statement added that the IRGC Navy had worked to maintain secure and designated shipping routes in order to ensure the continued flow of global trade through the strategic waterway.

The force also emphasized that maritime security and the uninterrupted movement of commercial shipping in the region remain under continuous monitoring and coordination by the IRGC Navy.
