500 Flights Operated in One Day as Iran’s Airspace Activity Rises
WANA (Jul 08) – The CEO of the Iran Airports and Air Navigation Company has announced a growing number of flights across the country, with nearly 500 domestic, international, and overflight operations handled on Monday alone.
Speaking on behalf of the company, Mohammad Amirani, who also serves as Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development, emphasized the swift response of technical teams in restoring damaged airport infrastructure.
“Our dedicated specialists acted promptly to operationalize affected areas at the country’s airports in the shortest possible time,” he stated.
Amirani also provided an update on regional airspace status, noting that eastern regions are fully operational, while flights in the western part of the country are being conducted safely between 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
He confirmed that the nation’s radar, navigation, and surveillance systems remain fully functional and ready to ensure the safe management of air traffic.
During the Israeli attacks on Iran, some of the Iranian airports were also targeted, and due to construction and safety measures against any possible new attack, they didn’t operate, but now, after a while, they have started operating.
