Iran Showcases Naval and Air Power in Large-Scale Strike on Israeli Cities and U.S. Bases
WANA (Mar 20) – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced the execution of the 68th wave of Operation True Promise 4, highlighting a coordinated display of naval and aerospace capabilities.
According to an IRGC statement, it was a joint and synergized operation between its Navy and Aerospace Force.
Officials stated that the mission showcased a combination of maritime and aerial power, countering what they described as “miscalculations by delusional American and Zionist adversaries.”
The statement added that IRGC Aerospace Force deployed multi-warhead Khorramshahr-4 and Qadr missiles, which reportedly disrupted advanced multi-layered defense systems and struck 25 targets in Haifa and Tel Aviv.
In addition, the IRGC’s drone units conducted a network-based, multi-layered operation involving dozens of combat drones, targeting a number of U.S. bases across the region.
The IRGC Navy also reportedly took part in the operation, striking six logistical facilities described as supporting U.S. forces at the Al-Hadd base using suicide drones and cruise missiles. The statement claimed that stored Patriot air defense systems in these facilities were destroyed, and that support infrastructure at the Sheikh Isa Air Base sustained significant damage.
Furthermore, the IRGC Navy issued a notice to vessels operating in the Persian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz, and the Sea of Oman, urging them to report any suspicious maritime activity via Channel 16 for immediate monitoring and control.
The statement concluded by asserting that, under orders from Iran’s Supreme Leader, the Strait of Hormuz has been decisively closed to U.S., Israeli, and allied forces.
