8 Emergency Vehicles Damaged in Airstrikes in Tehran
WANA (Mar 03) – The head of Tehran Emergency Services reported that eight ambulances and support vehicles were damaged in airstrikes carried out by Israel and the United States yesterday.
Mohammad Esmail Tavakoli explained that, despite the damage to several ambulances and support vehicles, as well as the injury of a number of staff members, emergency services in Tehran have continued without interruption and at full capacity.
Tavakoli added: “One ambulance was completely destroyed by fire, three others were taken out of service, and five support and operational vehicles were also rendered inoperable.”
Despite these losses, Tehran Emergency Services officials assured that they are standing by the people of Iran, with medical emergency services continuing uninterrupted across the province. Operational teams remain fully prepared to assist citizens.
Tavakoli also mentioned that necessary measures are being taken to replace the damaged equipment and restore the fleet to full operational capacity to ensure that there are no disruptions in providing essential services to the public.
In addition to the damage to emergency vehicles, Red Crescent buildings, Motahari, Gandhi, and Khatam hospitals in Tehran, Abu Zar Hospital in Ahvaz, as well as three emergency stations in Sarab, Chabahar, and Hamedan, and several residential buildings in northern Tehran have also been affected.
