WANA (Nov 04) – According to the latest report released by Stanford University, 89 faculty members from the University of Tehran have been listed among the world’s top 2% of scientists for the year 2025.

 

This annual global ranking, led by Professor John P. A. Ioannidis and his colleagues at Stanford University, is recognized as one of the most reputable scientific assessment systems worldwide.

 

The selection is based on data from the Scopus database and evaluates multiple citation and impact indicators, including the number of citations, h-index, hm-index, authorship position, and a composite score (c-score) reflecting overall research influence.

 

With 89 scholars featured in this ranking, the University of Tehran once again reaffirms its distinguished standing among leading global universities. The recognition highlights the university’s broad scientific impact and the international visibility of its research across diverse fields — from engineering and natural sciences to humanities, agriculture, and interdisciplinary technologies.

 

University officials emphasize that this achievement reflects sustained growth in research excellence, the quality and influence of scientific output, and the rising global prominence of the University of Tehran in advancing knowledge and innovation.
