WANA (Jul 19) – The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) issued a statement on Sunday, July 19, 2026, condemning a U.S. attack on the under-construction Darkhovin nuclear power plant site.

 

The statement from the AEOI reads as follows:

 

“The terrorist and criminal U.S. regime, whose nature consists of nothing but bullying and lawlessness, carried out an aggressive and brutal act in violation of international laws on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at approximately 3:39 AM local time.

 

Utilizing a number of projectiles, the attack targeted the under-construction site of the Darkhovin nuclear power plant—one of the symbols of the Iranian nation’s dignity and scientific self-sufficiency.”
