WANA (Oct 03) – Iranian air defense forces were activated over Qeshm Island on Saturday evening, reportedly intercepting a hostile aircraft and opening fire on it.

 

The air defense systems were activated twice over the island, with the sound of defensive fire heard across several areas of Qeshm.

 

According to local reports, at least one aircraft was hit during the operation. Residents also reported seeing the booster of an air defense missile in one area of Qeshm, with images of the booster circulating on social media.

 

Further details about the type of aircraft involved and the outcome of the interception have not yet been released.
