WANA (Apr 02) – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it had launched the third phase of the 90th wave of Operation “True Promise 4,” announcing that Amazon’s cloud computing center in Bahrain had been struck as the first target among American technology companies.

In a statement, the IRGC said the operation was carried out under the code “Ya Man Huwa Shadid al-Eqab” and as part of the ongoing 90th wave of “True Promise 4.” It added that, alongside the strike on Amazon’s infrastructure in Bahrain, seven air bases belonging to the U.S. Air Force and the Israeli regime were also targeted in what it described as a punitive operation — one the IRGC called “a night of nightmares for American terrorists.”

The statement accused the United States and Israel of turning to assassinations, attacks on officials’ homes, and the targeting of families and civilians after suffering setbacks on the battlefield. It said the IRGC had previously warned that if such attacks continued, American information technology and artificial intelligence companies involved in tracking and directing assassination operations would be placed on its target list.

According to the statement, the strike on Amazon’s cloud center in Bahrain constituted the first practical warning to those companies and their backers. The IRGC also said the facility was destroyed in the attack and that, according to the company’s own statement, Amazon is now in the process of leaving the region.

The statement further warned that if the assassinations continue, other companies previously identified would face heavier strikes, adding that responsibility for their complete destruction in the region would lie with the President of the United States.

The IRGC concluded by saying that the 90th wave of Operation “True Promise 4” is still ongoing and would continue until greater pressure is brought to bear on the United States and Israel.
