Two other Israelis Arrested for Spying for Iran
WANA (Jul 17) – Israeli media revealed a new espionage case allegedly involving cooperation with Iran.
According to a report by Israeli journalist Amit Segal, a female teacher from the Bedouin community in Israel has been arrested on charges of spying for Iran.
Segal stated that the suspect had carried out missions in favor of the Iranian side. In one particular operation, she was reportedly tasked with photographing military fighter jets stationed at the Nevatim Airbase.
In connection with this case, an Israeli newspaper, citing security sources, reported that Israel’s internal security service, Shin Bet (Shabak), has thwarted dozens of Iranian espionage attempts since the outbreak of the war in Gaza.
So far, indictments have been filed against 41 Israeli citizens accused of collaborating with Iranian intelligence.
Israeli Soldier Indicted for Spying for Iran
An Israeli army soldier has been arrested and formally indicted on charges of espionage for Iran.
According to Israel’s internal security agency, Shin Bet (Shabak), the soldier deliberately established contact with Iranian operatives and, in exchange for money, sent them images and videos of missile impact sites and sensitive military locations.
The indictment states that the soldier did not obtain the information through his official duties but instead carried out specific tasks on behalf of the Iranian side, transmitting classified security details.
This case is part of a broader wave of arrests recently launched by Israeli authorities under the pretext of countering “Iranian intelligence infiltration.”
In response, Shabak has initiated a public awareness campaign titled “Easy Money, Heavy Price” to warn Israeli citizens in the occupied territories against cooperating with Iran.
Security analysts say this case not only highlights the growing threat of Iranian intelligence penetration within Israeli security structures but also reflects a deeper identity crisis within Israel’s fragmented and divided society.
