WANA (Oct 08) – Major General Mohammad Pakpour, Commander-in-Chief of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), has warned that any miscalculation by adversaries in the Persian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz, or Iran’s islands will face a “decisive and crushing response.”

In a message marking the “Day of the IRGC Navy,” General Pakpour honored the memory of Iran’s fallen naval “heroes” of the 1987 Persian Gulf battle, including martyrs Nader Mahdavi, Bijan Gord, Nasrollah Shafiee, Gholamhossein Tavassoli, Mehdi Mohammadiha, Khodadad Absalan, and Majid Mobaraki, who “turned the Persian Gulf into the graveyard of aggressors.”

The IRGC chief praised the Navy as a symbol of “faith, intelligence, and deterrent power” that safeguards the security of the Persian Gulf, the strategic Strait of Hormuz, and Iran’s surrounding waters under the command of the Supreme Leader.

General Pakpour said the IRGC Navy has now evolved into a “strategic and unrivaled deterrent power,” relying on dedicated human resources, revolutionary management, and indigenous advanced technologies in surface, subsurface, missile, drone, electronic, and cyber warfare.

He emphasized that the IRGC, adhering to Iran’s defensive–offensive doctrine and inspired by the “school of resistance,” maintains peak readiness across combat, intelligence, and operational domains.

“We explicitly warn the enemies of the Islamic Revolution and the proud nation of Iran that any miscalculation in the Persian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz, or Iranian islands will be met with an immediate, decisive, and crushing response that will make them regret their actions,” Pakpour stated.

He further stressed that the IRGC Navy not only guarantees Iran’s national and regional security but also “lays the foundation for a new maritime order based on justice, independence, and resistance against global arrogance.”

Concluding his message, General Pakpour congratulated Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri, Commander of the IRGC Navy, and all naval personnel, praying for their continued success under the guidance of the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei.
