WANA (Aug 09) – The commander of the Iranian Army’s Ground Forces has emphasized the full readiness of the country’s armed forces to confront threats, stating that any hostile action will be met with a firm and deterrent response.

During a visit to Ground Forces units and combat capabilities in Iran’s southeast regions and along the Makran coast, Brigadier General Kioumars Jahanshahi said: “If an American soldier sets foot in Iran, we will cut it off,” stressing that the armed forces remain fully prepared to defend the country’s security and territorial integrity.

He said Ground Forces units are maintaining constant surveillance of regional movements and closely monitoring potential threats, adding that they are operating at full combat readiness to protect Iran’s borders.

Jahanshahi also highlighted the role of rapid-response units and special forces deployed in border areas, describing their presence as a key factor in maintaining lasting security.

The commander further stated that the preparedness of Iran’s armed forces, along with public support for military personnel, has disrupted the calculations of what he described as the country’s adversaries.

He added that Iran’s armed forces possess the capability to deliver an effective and deterrent response to any threat or hostile action.
