WANA (Mar 10) – In a recent telephone conversation, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov discussed the latest regional developments and the security implications arising from the U.S. and Israeli military aggression against Iran.

Foreign Minister Araghchi condemned the crimes committed by the U.S. and Israel against the Iranian people, reaffirming Iran’s determination to continue defending its national sovereignty and territorial integrity.

He also highlighted the responsibility of the United Nations Security Council in addressing the blatant violations of international peace and security caused by the aggressive actions of the U.S. and Israel.

Araghchi emphasized that any indifference toward the ongoing lawbreaking by the U.S. and Israel would lead to greater instability in the entire region and beyond.

For his part, Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov condemned the U.S. and Israeli military aggression against Iran. He congratulated Araghchi on the selection of Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei as the new Supreme Leader of Iran and expressed Russia’s readiness to contribute its efforts towards strengthening regional security.
