Araghchi: Any Hostile Action Will Face Immediate, Decisive Response
WANA (Jun 03) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs explicitly warned today that any hostile action will face an immediate and decisive response, stating that what sanctions and war failed to achieve will not be achieved through more war.
Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, stated on X this afternoon, June 3, that Iran’s armed forces are conducting defensive strikes against U.S.-permitted attack sites following U.S. military actions earlier today against an Iranian oil tanker and a telecommunications tower in Qeshm. These strikes are within Iran’s right to self-defense against locations allowing U.S. attacks on civilian shipping and ceasefire violations.
He warned that any hostile action would face an immediate and decisive response. The head of the diplomatic apparatus wrote on the X network that what sanctions and war failed to achieve will not be achieved through more war.
U.S. Acknowledgement of Regional Cooperation
It is worth noting that U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio acknowledged the cooperation of some Persian Gulf countries with the United States against Iran during a Congressional hearing yesterday (Tuesday), June 2.
Regarding this, he said that he believes their allies in the region have shown very extensive cooperation, and that some of them, including the United Arab Emirates, have cooperated with a very active and serious approach, adding that Kuwait has also performed excellently.
Foreign Ministry Statement
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also issued a statement today condemning the U.S. attacks on the Iranian oil tanker and the telecommunications tower in Qeshm, declaring that Iran, in exercising its inherent right to defend its territorial integrity and national sovereignty, will utilize all capacities to counter aggressive actions, including by targeting the origin and source of the aggressive attacks.
