Araghchi Criticizes Netanyahu Over Remarks on Jesus and Genghis Khan
WANA (Mar 20) – Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi responded to remarks attributed to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, accusing him of disrespecting Jesus Christ while praising Genghis Khan.
Araghchi said it was notable that someone who relies heavily on the goodwill of Christians in the United States would make what he described as a clear insult toward Jesus.
He also criticized what he called Netanyahu’s “unlimited praise” for Genghis Khan, describing him as one of the most violent figures in history, and added that such remarks are consistent with Netanyahu’s status as a “wanted war criminal,” according to his statement.
