Araghchi Holds Calls With Six Regional Counterparts on Managing Tensions
WANA (Jan 30) – Iran’s foreign minister has held a series of phone calls with his counterparts from six Arab and Islamic countries, underscoring the need for responsible management of the region’s increasingly sensitive situation and warning against further instability.
According to official reports, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s foreign minister, spoke separately with the foreign ministers of Qatar, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Oman, and Turkey. The discussions focused on the latest regional and international developments, amid growing concerns over the security and political consequences of ongoing crises in West Asia.
During the calls, Araghchi highlighted the fragile nature of current conditions and outlined Iran’s positions on recent developments. He emphasized the importance of adopting measured and cautious approaches to regional crises, stressing that miscalculations could further escalate tensions.
The foreign ministers involved exchanged views on the evolving situation and collectively emphasized the necessity of responsible crisis management, close attention to the security implications of current developments, and efforts to prevent further escalation.
