WANA (Aug 10) – Iran’s Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, said that Iran demonstrated its capabilities to the world during the recent war, proving that it is a resilient, determined, and unbreakable power.

 

Speaking at a ceremony marking the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs aimed at rebuilding infrastructure damaged during the war, Araghchi paid tribute to those who lost their lives in the conflict and praised the efforts of various sectors across the country.

 

He said healthcare workers ensured that medical centers remained operational throughout the war and created remarkable examples of dedication and sacrifice.

 

“Everyone, in their respective fields, worked to prevent the people from facing difficulties — from the armed forces to healthcare personnel who stood together in this period,” Araghchi said. “Our armed forces made great sacrifices and confronted one of the world’s largest militaries in terms of appearance and resources.”

 

The foreign minister emphasized that Iran had demonstrated its strength during the recent conflict, stating: “The Islamic Republic of Iran proved itself to the world and showed that it is a resilient and unbreakable power.”

 

He added: “I have repeatedly heard from foreign officials that you surprised the world. No one expected Iran to stand against the United States and its allies and refuse to bow down.”

 

Referring to developments during and after the conflict, Araghchi said: “The same side that had called for unconditional surrender eventually came forward seeking negotiations. In this war, we also upheld ethics, dignity, and honor.”

 

Araghchi also highlighted cooperation between the Foreign Ministry and the Health Ministry during the conflict, saying that the supply of medical equipment, medicine, and other healthcare necessities was facilitated through diplomatic efforts, while the Health Ministry played an outstanding role during the war.

 

He pointed to support from Iranians living abroad and other groups, saying: “The national solidarity of Iranians was evident even outside the country. Significant aid was voluntarily provided by Iranians abroad, as well as Muslims and Shia communities, to support the country.”

 

He noted that, in one instance, 25 ambulances were sent to Iran from a foreign country, while assistance collected by Iranians abroad was also transferred through diplomatic channels.

 

Araghchi further referred to a fundraising campaign for the reconstruction of a hospital in Andimeshk, saying that a substantial part of the required resources for rebuilding the facility had already been secured.

 

The foreign minister concluded by saying that some employees of the Foreign Ministry had allocated part of their salaries to support reconstruction efforts, adding that arrangements were available for donors to have donated equipment or rebuilt sections of facilities registered in their names.
