WANA (Aug 09) – Iran’s Foreign Minister has stressed that the Islamic Republic will continue its policy of resistance in the face of external pressure, saying Tehran will not allow those killed in recent conflicts to be forgotten or ignored.

 

Speaking at a ceremony in Tehran on Sunday, Seyed Abbas Araghchi said Iran remains committed to what he described as its path of resistance despite mounting pressure, emphasizing that the country would continue defending its independence and national interests.

 

Referring to recent developments, Araghchi stated that Iran would not allow what he called “the unjustly shed blood” of victims to be overlooked. “We will neither forget nor forgive,” he said.

 

The foreign minister also highlighted a collection of historical documents presented by Iran’s Foreign Ministry, saying they reflected the role of cultural and social diplomacy in Iran’s foreign relations. He said the documents demonstrated that Iran’s diplomacy has not been limited to official government-to-government interactions, but has also been shaped by cultural and social ties among nations.

 

Araghchi added that, from Tehran’s perspective, diplomacy should go beyond political calculations and also address issues such as human dignity and moral values.

 

His remarks come as tensions between Iran, the United States and Israel remain elevated following recent military confrontations. Regional security issues, sanctions and the future of diplomatic engagement continue to be among the main concerns for international actors.
