WANA (Jul 24)Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi stated on Thursday that Iran’s stance on its peaceful nuclear program remains unchanged and firm, emphasizing the country’s right to uranium enrichment. His remarks come ahead of a scheduled meeting between senior Iranian and European diplomats in Istanbul on Friday.

Speaking about the upcoming diplomatic engagement, Araghchi said, “Following the recent conflict, it was essential to reaffirm that the Islamic Republic of Iran’s positions remain strong and unwavering. Our enrichment activities will continue, and we will not relinquish the Iranian people’s right to peaceful nuclear energy.”

He reiterated that while Iran remains committed to advancing its nuclear program within a “reasonable and logical framework,” it has never hesitated to build confidence among concerned countries.

“We have always sought to gain the trust of those who express concerns, but at the same time, we expect Iran’s legitimate rights, including uranium enrichment under peaceful nuclear use, to be respected,” Araghchi said.

The foreign minister stressed that Friday’s talks are a continuation of previous negotiations and not a shift in policy. “The world must know that our position has not changed. We remain firm and resolute in defending the Iranian people’s rights, especially regarding peaceful nuclear energy and enrichment,” he declared.
