Araghchi Slams Israeli Aggression and Stresses Regional Unity
WANA (Jul 09) – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi strongly condemned the ongoing Israeli military aggression against Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria, describing it as continued massacres and genocide carried out under the silence and inaction of the UN Security Council. He blamed Israel’s occupation and attacks for fueling insecurity in the region and held the regime’s supporters responsible for the resulting crimes.
Araghchi made the remarks during a brief stop in Jeddah on Tuesday evening, following his participation in the BRICS summit in Brazil, in which he met with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and discussed bilateral relations and regional developments.

The Iranian Foreign Minister emphasized the shared position of Islamic and regional countries in condemning the Israeli and American military attacks against Iran. He underscored the collective responsibility of the region to counter the threat posed by Israel’s expansionist and warmongering policies.
Araghchi thanked the Saudi government for its excellent management of this year’s Hajj and its valuable assistance in facilitating the return of Iranian pilgrims, especially in light of the complications caused by the recent Israeli military aggression.
He reaffirmed Iran’s determination to enhance relations with Saudi Arabia across all areas of mutual interest.
