WANA (Apr 25) – According to the schedule released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi is slated to return to Pakistan for a second visit following the conclusion of his current trip to Oman and before heading to Russia.

 

After meeting with Pakistani officials to convey Iran’s positions and perspectives regarding the parameters of any agreement for a complete cessation of hostilities and the establishment of peace, Araghchi arrived in Muscat on Saturday evening, April 25.

 

Diplomatic Consultations

Diplomatic sources indicate that a portion of the Foreign Minister’s delegation, which accompanied him during the initial Islamabad visit, returned to Tehran following consultations to receive necessary instructions regarding matters related to ending the war. This group is expected to rejoin Araghchi in Islamabad on Sunday night.

 

Prior to his arrival in Muscat, the Foreign Minister and his delegation conducted bilateral political consultations in the Pakistani capital. During his brief stay in Islamabad, Araghchi held high-level meetings with Field Marshal Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff, Ishaq Dar, Foreign Minister, and Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister.

On the afternoon of Friday, April 24, 2026, Foreign Minister Araghchi confirmed his regional tour via his account on X (formerly Twitter), stating:

 

“Embarking on a timely tour of Islamabad, Muscat, and Moscow. The purpose of my visits is to closely coordinate with our partners on bilateral matters and consult on regional developments. Our neighbors are our priority.”
