Araghchi to Travel to Ankara Tomorrow
WANA (Jan 29) – Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, will travel to Turkey tomorrow on an official visit to hold formal meetings.
Turkey’s Hurriyet newspaper, in its today’s issue, referring to last night’s phone call between Erdogan and Trump, stated: The US President has agreed to a tripartite meeting with representatives from Iran, the United States, and Turkey in Ankara.
Erdogan announced his readiness to host Trump and President Pezeshkian. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in a phone call with Donald Trump, has urged both the United States and Iran to come to Turkey this week to hold nuclear negotiations.
However, neither side is willing to enter this process without clarity on the agenda and a declaration of concessions from Iran.
Trump believes that Iran is deliberately slowing down the pace of the negotiations and hopes that the presence of his military “fleet” will sharpen the focus of decision-makers in Tehran.
