WANA (Dec 04) – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi is to visit Baku, Azerbaijan.

 

According to reports citing the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Baku, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi is scheduled to travel to the Republic of Azerbaijan. This visit is planned for next week.

 

This will be Araghchi’s first official bilateral trip to Baku since assuming the post of foreign minister.

 

The Iranian top diplomat previously accompanied President Masoud Pezeshkian on his visit to Azerbaijan to attend the 17th ECO Summit in Khankendi, as well as during the president’s trip to Baku in April, where he met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

 

During that visit, seven cooperation agreements were signed between the two countries.
