WANA (Oct 14) – The Spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, will travel to Uganda to attend the 19th Mid-Term Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM).

 

Ismail Baghaei stated that the main theme of this meeting is “Deepening Cooperation for Greater Global Prosperity”, and that foreign ministers and diplomatic delegations from more than 120 NAM member states are expected to participate.

 

He added that, in addition to general discussions and statements of position by member states, the meeting of the NAM Committee on Palestine will also be held with the participation of its member governments, including the Islamic Republic of Iran.

 

The Foreign Ministry Spokesperson further noted that the Minister of Foreign Affairs will outline Iran’s positions during the plenary session and will also hold bilateral meetings and consultations with his counterparts from various countries on the sidelines of the event.
