Araghchi: Trump Betrayed Diplomacy and the American People
WANA (Mar 04) – Iran’s Foreign Minister stressed that the U.S. president betrayed diplomacy and the American people, stating: When big lies distort reality, unrealistic expectations will never be fulfilled.
Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, wrote on the social media platform X, referring to U.S. President Donald Trump’s approach toward the diplomatic process that had begun with Iran: When complex nuclear negotiations are treated like a real estate transaction, and when big lies distort reality, unrealistic expectations will never be met. The result? Bombing the negotiating table out of spite and stubbornness.
Araghchi emphasised: Mr Trump betrayed diplomacy and also the Americans who elected him.
On Saturday, February 28, the United States and the Israeli regime attacked Iran’s territorial integrity and assassinated Iran’s Supreme Leader, while Iran and the United States had already held three rounds of nuclear negotiations and were planning a fourth round.
