WANA (Jun 26) – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi said that the Iranian nation would “neither forget nor forgive the martyrdom of its leader,” as the country marks the anniversary of Imam Hussein’s martyrdom.

 

In a post published on X on Friday, Araghchi paid tribute to the Ashura uprising, writing that Imam Hussein, revered by Shia Muslims as Sayyid al-Shuhada (Master of the Martyrs), sacrificed everything he had on the plain of Karbala.

 

He went on to state: “Likewise, we will never forget or forgive the martyrdom of Grand Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, who is the master and leader of the martyrs of Iran’s Islamic Revolution.”
