WANA (Nov 22) – Iran’s Foreign Minister said the propaganda efforts by the Israeli regime and Western countries to portray Iran—rather than Israel—as a regional threat have now collapsed.

In an interview, Seyyed Abbas Araghchi stated that “prioritizing our neighbors and the surrounding region has always been central to the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic.” He added that this approach began during the previous administration, had been pursued even earlier, and is now the Foreign Ministry’s top priority under the fourteenth government.

He noted that over the past year to fourteen months, diplomatic engagement with neighboring countries has taken place at a very high level.

The Iranian foreign minister emphasized that the propaganda campaign by the Israeli regime and Western governments to depict Iran as a regional threat has now broken down—partly due to Israel’s attacks, killings, atrocities, and crimes in the region.

Araghchi added that the Foreign Ministry has recently launched a provincial diplomacy initiative, since Iran’s neighboring countries can develop strong commercial ties with the Iranian provinces bordering them, which hold significant economic potential.
