Argentina Designates Iran’s IRGC as “Terrorist Organization”
WANA (Apr 01) – Reports say that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has been added to Argentina’s list of terrorist organizations in a move announced in a statement by the Argentine presidential office.
According to the report, the decision was officially published by the Presidency of Argentina, marking a significant policy step against the Iranian military institution.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi had previously condemned similar actions by some European countries, describing the designation of the IRGC as a terrorist organization as a “major strategic mistake.”
Araghchi stated that the IRGC has played a key role in fighting ISIS and other extremist groups, and warned that such measures do not reduce regional tensions but instead contribute to further escalation.
