WANA (Mar 02) – Oman’s Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Al-Busaidi, in a phone call with his Iranian counterpart, extended his condolences to the government and people of Iran over the assassination of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution during the military aggression by the United States and the Israeli regime against Iran.

 

Iran’s Foreign Minister, in turn, underscored the responsibility of the international community to firmly condemn these acts of aggression, stressing that the imposed war by the United States and the Israeli regime against Iran constitutes an assault on peace and stability across the entire West Asia region and serves the expansionist ambitions of the Israeli regime.

 

In the telephone conversation, Sayyid Badr Al-Busaidi conveyed his condolences to the Iranian people and government over the assassination of the Supreme Leader during the U.S. and Israeli military attack on Iran.

 

During the call, Iran’s Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, thanked his Omani counterpart for his message of sympathy and briefed him on the latest developments regarding the military aggression carried out by the Israeli regime and the United States against Iran.

 

Araghchi described what he called the brutal crime committed by the United States and the Israeli regime in their unlawful attack on Iran and the cowardly assassination of the Supreme Leader and senior Iranian officials. He also pointed to what he characterized as America’s renewed betrayal of diplomacy in the midst of nuclear negotiations, emphasizing Iran’s firm determination to defend its sovereignty decisively within the framework of its legitimate right to self-defense against military aggression.

 

Referring to attacks by the Israeli regime and the United States on public and residential areas — including the killing of more than 150 young girls from Minab in a missile strike — Araghchi highlighted the responsibility of the international community to unequivocally condemn these aggressive actions. He stressed that the imposed war by the United States and the Israeli regime against Iran is, in reality, an assault on the peace and stability of the entire West Asia region and part of the Israeli regime’s pursuit of regional dominance.

 

Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, was assassinated following a Saturday morning attack carried out by the Israeli regime and the United States.
