WANA (Mar 01) – The Supreme National Security Council announced in a statement the martyrdom of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, following what it described as a criminal attack by Israel and the United States.

The Supreme National Security Council issued a statement confirming the martyrdom of Grand Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, in a criminal attack by Israel and the United States.

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was assassinated at his workplace in the Leader’s Office (Beit-e Rahbari).

At the moment of his martyrdom, he was carrying out his official duties and was present at his place of work (his office). The attack took place in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Media outlets affiliated with the Israel regime had repeatedly claimed that, due to fear of assassination, the Leader of the Revolution was living in a secure and hidden location. His assassination at his workplace demonstrated the false and unfounded nature of those claims.

The Supreme National Security Council released the following statement:

In the Name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful

The exalted soul of the leader of the great Iranian nation, the champion of freedom-seekers around the world, and the guide of the Islamic Ummah, Imam Khamenei (may God sanctify his pure soul), ascended to the highest realm and attained his long-cherished wish. Following the example of his noble forefather, Imam Ali (peace and blessings be upon him), during the blessed month of Ramadan, he cried out the heavenly call “By the Lord of the Kaaba, I have succeeded,” and joined the sacred divine presence, tasting the sweet nectar of martyrdom in this holy month.

Today, the righteous nation of Iran, the Islamic Ummah, and freedom-loving people across the world mourn the criminal and malicious attacks of the criminal United States and the wicked Zionists. Yet let the savage enemies and the tyrants of the international hell know that the awakened hearts of the world have found their path. These martyrdoms, though heavy and painful for our nation and for Islamic nations, only make them more resilient and resolute. Undoubtedly, the martyrdom of that great and exalted figure will mark the beginning of a tremendous uprising in the struggle against the oppressors of the world.

“Peace be upon him the day he was born, the day he dies, and the day he is raised alive.”
