WANA (Sep 08) – The iconic Azadi Tower was illuminated in red on Saturday to mark World Duchenne Awareness Day, observed annually on September 7.

The initiative aimed to raise public awareness about Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a rare disease, and draw attention to the challenges faced by patients and their families.

The illumination was carried out in cooperation with the Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy Support Association and the Azadi Tower Cultural Complex under the supervision of the Roudaki Foundation, as part of an international campaign to highlight the importance of support and recognition for those affected.

World Duchenne Awareness Day serves as a reminder of the need to improve patients’ quality of life and to support ongoing research and social initiatives in this field.
