WANA (Aug 04) – Ebrahim Azizi, Chairman of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, emphasized that according to laws passed by the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Parliament), under no circumstances will physical access to Iran’s nuclear facilities be granted to any international institution.

Speaking about certain rumors regarding the possible resumption of inspections by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) of Iran’s nuclear sites, Azizi stated:

“The IAEA delegation, which according to scheduled plans is set to visit Iran next week, is solely and exclusively permitted to engage in technical and expert-level discussions with Iranian officials and specialists.”

He added:

“According to the laws ratified by the Islamic Consultative Assembly, not only will physical access to Iran’s nuclear facilities not be granted under any circumstances, but no inspections by this delegation or any other foreign body will be allowed at our nuclear facilities.”

Azizi emphasized that these restrictions constitute a firm and unchangeable framework that must be strictly adhered to, adding:

“Moreover, the plans and agenda of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s government and the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) for this trip and related meetings do not in any way include topics such as granting access to facilities or conducting inspections requested by the Agency.”

The chairman further noted: “The points defined by Iranian institutions are entirely within the framework of authorized technical cooperation, and are aimed solely at expert-level discussions and clarification of ambiguities.”

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baqaei also stated in his weekly press briefing today that a visit by a senior IAEA official is scheduled to take place within the next 10 days.

He further stated that no inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) are currently present in Iran.

On June 13, the Israeli regime, in a blatant violation of international law and Iran’s national sovereignty, launched a military attack targeting areas in Tehran and other cities, including the country’s nuclear facilities.

This attack killed several Iranian scientists, military personnel, and civilians. This action did not go unpunished, as Iran’s Supreme Leader stated, and the Israeli regime faced severe retaliatory strikes.

In the continuation of this aggression, the United States also joined Israel’s war against Iran by launching direct attacks early Sunday (June 22) on Iran’s nuclear sites in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.

This aggression also faced a strong response, in which Iran struck the U.S. Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar. This base is the headquarters of the U.S. Air Force and its largest strategic asset in West Asia.

Finally, on June 24, the U.S. President announced a ceasefire agreement between Iran and the Israeli regime. The Islamic Republic of Iran, while stressing that it did not start the war, declared that if the Israeli regime halts its illegal aggression, Iran also has no intention of continuing its retaliatory actions.
