WANA (Sep 25) – The head of Iran’s Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Commission dismissed remarks by U.S. presidential envoy Witkoff regarding ongoing negotiations with Tehran, calling them “false.”

Ebrahim Azizi, who chairs the commission, stressed that Iranian lawmakers remain committed to the guidelines and recommendations of the Supreme Leader on nuclear issues.

He added that if the snapback mechanism is activated, the Cairo agreement on Iran’s cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) “will undoubtedly be revoked.”

Azizi further warned that Iran’s armed forces are fully prepared to respond to any hostile action against the country.
