WANA (Sep 02) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei has strongly condemned a recent U.S. strike on a wedding ceremony in Kouhestak, Sirik, characterizing the event as another clear sign of America’s “moral decay.”

In a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter), Baghaei described the incident—which resulted in death and injury of 70 Iranian citizens, including women and children—as a fresh war crime that exposed the true nature of Washington’s illegal actions.

He asserted that the attack was carried out in a desperate attempt to conceal U.S. failures on the ground, emphasizing that actual military actions, rather than AI-generated propaganda videos portraying American officials as moral victors, reveal the true reality of the conflict.

To underline his point, the spokesperson referenced American author Tim O’Brien’s book The Things They Carried, noting that a true war story is never moral and advising that if a story seems moral, one should not believe it.
