WANA (Mar 10) – Ismail Baghaei, spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, responded sharply to a provocative message from Ursula von der Leyen, calling it “enough hypocrisy.”

Baghaei wrote on X that von der Leyen has spent her life standing on the wrong side of history, giving a green light to occupation, endorsing genocide and heinous crimes, and is now trying to justify the aggression and war crimes of the U.S. and Israel against Iranians.

He added: “When over 165 Iranian children were massacred in Minab, where were you? Why remain silent when hospitals, historical sites, oil facilities, diplomatic police stations, fire stations, and residential areas are mercilessly targeted by aggressors?”

The Iranian foreign ministry spokesperson emphasized that silence in the face of lawlessness and crimes is nothing but complicity, urging the European Commission chief to review the responses to her message and see how the public truly perceives the “whitewashing of criminals.”
