Baghaei: Iran Has Not Yet Responded to the United States
WANA (May 07) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson announced that Tehran is still reviewing messages exchanged through Pakistani mediation regarding the so-called “14-point proposal” and has not yet delivered any response to the United States.
Speaking on current foreign policy developments, Esmaeil Baghaei said the main issues under discussion in recent days have been the war, ceasefire efforts, attempts to end the conflict, and the restoration of peace and stability in the region.
He added that the latest talks with the Pakistani side were focused on Iran’s proposed “14-point plan,” which was conveyed to the United States through Pakistan.
According to Baghaei, the American side’s views were subsequently communicated, and the proposal is now under review by Iranian authorities.
The Foreign Ministry spokesperson stressed that once Iran reaches a final conclusion, its response will be delivered through the Pakistani mediator, and future steps will be determined based on the outcome of these exchanges.
He reiterated that Iran has not yet reached a final decision and no response has so far been given to the United States.
