WANA (Nov 30) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baghaei has underscored the legal and moral responsibility of the international community to support the legitimate resistance of the Palestinian people.

In a message marking the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People on Sunday, November 30, Baghaei described Palestine as “the most universal cause of the pursuit of justice and human solidarity, and the deepest wound on the conscience of humanity.”

Writing on the social media platform X, he stated that while the “racist occupying regime continues its genocide against the Palestinian people with full impunity granted by the United States and its allies,” the international community bears a legal and ethical obligation not merely to voice support, but to take effective action to end the occupation and secure Palestinians’ fundamental right to self-determination.

The International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People is observed annually on November 29, following its designation by the United Nations General Assembly in 1977 to promote awareness and international support for the rights of the Palestinian people.
