WANA (Jul 05) – The spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Esmaeil Baghaei, condemned the Israeli regime’s attack on Evin Prison Hospital, stating that the aggressor regime must be held accountable and punished for its heinous crimes against the Iranian people.

On Saturday, Baghaei wrote: “Days after the halt of the Zionist regime’s military aggression against our homeland, new dimensions of Netanyahu’s war crimes in Tehran and other Iranian cities targeted by Israeli attacks continue to emerge.”

Posting a video on X (formerly Twitter), Baghaei wrote: “The footage below shows the brutal Israeli assault on the Evin Prison Hospital on June 22, 2025, when families and friends had gathered to visit their loved ones. They, along with several staff members and passersby, were trapped and burned under the rubble caused by the bombing. Seventy-nine people lost their lives in this ruthless Israeli war crime.”

He continued: “No person of conscience can remain silent in the face of such cruelty, which constitutes a grave violation of humanitarian law and a blatant war crime.”

Baghaei concluded: “This aggressive regime must be firmly condemned and held accountable for committing horrific crimes against the people of Iran.”
