WANA (Sep 25) – Esmail Baghaei, spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, in a message posted on X, responded to accusations made by the U.S. President against Iran during his speech at the United Nations General Assembly:

“When you point an unjust finger of blame at another, in truth, the other three fingers point back at yourself; unjustly accusing Iran can never cover up America’s complicity and direct participation in the ongoing genocide of Palestinians, organized terrorism, and the continuous aggressions of the Israeli regime against various countries.”

Baghaei further criticized Washington for what he described as boasting about unlawful attacks on Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities:

Boasting about an illegal attack on Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities, no matter how much you justify it—while being brazen and hateful—only intensifies the international responsibility of the U.S. government for committing this criminal and aggressive act, and further exposes the deep-seated animosity and enmity of that country’s rulers toward the “Iranian nation.”

He concluded by dismissing Washington’s stated willingness for diplomacy as deceptive: “America’s claim of a desire for diplomacy is nothing but deception and blatant contradiction; one cannot simultaneously bomb a country while engaging in diplomatic negotiations and speak of diplomacy.”
