WANA (Mar 03) – TheIranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman held a press conference on Tuesday, March 3rd, at a school that had been destroyed by the strikes from the U.S. and Israel and responded to various questions.

 

Esmail Baghaei, the Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman, in response to a question about the reaction of European countries to these strikes, stated: “Any such act against Iran would be regarded as complicity with the aggrassor, it would be regarded as act of war against Iran.”

 

He added, “Defensive is synonym to offensive , does’t make sense , do they want to deprive Iran of its capability and capacity to fight back against aggressers , that would be a shame if these countries takes sides with the aggressers , they have already done enough against Iran”

 

Regarding the assassination of Iran’s Supreme leader, Baghaei said: “Our supreme leader was living like a normal average Iranian person, he was living in his home, you have to ask this question from the aggressors who dared to attack Iran and attaack his compound, I think the history will judje him like the great great commandor who lived among his people, decided to be there and has many meaning, it is a meaningful death, he preffered to be with his people untill the last minutes of his life and he did not leave his country and his home and his capital.

 

The Ministry Spokesman also reacted to the rumours that America has suggested a ceasefire. “Right now, all our energy and all our senses are focused on defending the Iranian nation. The contradictory messages they are sending have been sent before in this year and a half, we have heard many such deceptive messages.”

 

“Now is the time for war, it is the time for defending the homeland, and anything that tries to distract us to something else, I think we should avoid it. Deception is part of the behaviour pattern of the opposing sides”, Baghaei said.

 

“The American people should ask their government men what threat our Minab children posed to the national security of the United States. What threat were the athletes of Lamerd in Fars to the national security of the United States? Let’s leave that, What threat was Iran’s nuclear program to the United States? The nuclear program that you said so firmly in June was destroyed. If it was destroyed, then what is the point of another war? What does Iran’s missile program have to do with you?”, Baghaei asked.

 

Responding to the question about Iran’s targets during this war, the Spokesman stated: “The targets chosen by the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran are carefully chosen, and the whole goal is to target the origin and source of the attack on Iran.”

 

“Keep in mind that by their own admission, the truth and falsehood of it is their own responsibility, By their own admission, they have repeatedly attacked their own targets due to human error, due to the error of friendly fire, and because of the systems they use, including jamming, they probably caused unwanted targeting of places that were not basically in our planning”, he added.

 

Baghaei further stated: “The reasons for this war are this clear miscalculation. The lies that were injected into the American decision-making apparatus about Iran’s capabilities and the state of Iranian society made them greedy.”

 

“The only winner in this situation is the Zionist regime, which has shown that it does not value the security and stability of our region. All of their care and their sorrow is the continuation of endless wars and insecurity in the region”, the Spokesman said.
