WANA (Mar 25) – The Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, referring to the attack by the United States and the Israeli regime on the home of Iranian director Abbas Kiarostami, stated: “The military aggression of the U.S. and Israel is not just a war against a country and a territory, but a war against a deep-rooted culture, civilization, and identity.”

He emphasized that Iran, relying on these very roots, will ground its enemies and bring the aggressors to a halt.

In a post on X, he wrote: “Remember Abbas Kiarostami, the renowned Iranian director who won the Palme d’Or at the 1997 Cannes Film Festival for his masterpiece Taste of Cherry?”

He added, “Even his HOME was not spared from the bombs of the American-Israeli aggressors.

Was Kiarostami’s home part of the alleged “imminent threat” to the United States?!”

“The truth is that this American-Israeli WAR OF WHIMS is not merely against a State — it is against a deep-rooted culture, civilization, and identity,” he wrote.

Baghaei concluded, “Yet Iran, drawing strength from these very roots, will bring its enemies to their knees.”
