Bajolvand Wins Iran’s Fourth Gold in World Para-Athletics
WANA (Oct 03) – Hassan Bajolvand claimed the gold medal in the men’s discus throw at the World Para-Athletics Championships.
At the global competition held in New Delhi, Bajolvand, representing Iran, secured the championship title with a throw of 41.70 meters, raising Iran’s flag in victory.
The Brazilian athlete finished second with a throw of 40.14 meters, while the Spanish competitor took third place with 39.28 meters.
Bajolvand, who had previously won a silver medal at the Paris Paralympics, has now added a world championship gold to his record.
So far, Iran’s delegation has collected four gold medals—won by Amirhossein Alipour, Elham Salehi, Saeid Afrooz, and Hassan Bajolvand—alongside two silver medals from Mehdi Olad and Hajar Safarzadeh, and three bronze medals earned by Emanollah Papi, Elham Salehi, and Zeinab Moradi.
