Baku-Tehran Flights to Resume on Saturday
WANA (Sep 06) – Ali Alizadeh, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Iran, announced that flights on the Baku-Tehran-Baku route will resume on Saturday, operated by Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL). He stated that this decision was made following a directive from the President of Azerbaijan after several years of suspension.
In a post on his social media account on X, Alizadeh explained that the first direct flight on the Baku-Tabriz-Baku route had already taken place and that these flights would initially operate twice a week. He added that starting Saturday, the Baku-Tehran-Baku flights would also resume as part of the same program.
The Azerbaijani ambassador expressed his gratitude to everyone involved and voiced hope that the resumption of these flights would mark a positive step in strengthening relations between the two countries.
