WANA (Jul 07) – The UK Foreign Office has announced that its embassy in Tehran has reopened after a temporary closure.

 

On Monday evening, July 7, the UK Foreign Office reported that its embassy in Tehran has resumed operations following a temporary shutdown.

 

The British Embassy in Tehran had been closed in response to the Israeli regime’s attack on Iran. Earlier, Switzerland also announced the reopening of its embassy in Tehran.

 

In a statement released on Sunday, the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs said: “Ambassador Nadine Olivieri Lozano and a small team returned to Tehran yesterday by land, via Azerbaijan.

 

The embassy’s activities will gradually resume. Switzerland also represents U.S. interests in Iran.”
