WANA (Jul 25) – Peace activists in the UK gathered outside the RAF Fairford airbase to protest its use in U.S. airstrikes against Iranian civilian infrastructure involving B-1 bombers.

 

The demonstration comes amid sharp reactions from Iran regarding the British government’s decision to grant the U.S. access to its military bases and facilities.

 

Earlier, in an official statement, Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned London’s decision, calling it complicity in “acts of aggression and war crimes.”

 

Citing UN General Assembly Resolution 3314, Tehran emphasized that allowing military bases to be used for attacks on another sovereign state constitutes a clear act of aggression.

 

Recalling the history of British interventions in Iran—ranging from the 1953 coup to support for the Saddam regime and harsh sanctions—the ministry reiterated that Iran remains fully determined to defend its national sovereignty, adding that any party facilitating such aggression will be held accountable for the consequences.

 

Concurrently, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a stern warning to the UK government, pointing to its historical legacy in the region and advising London not to further aggravate its record through participation in U.S. and Israeli operations against Iran.
