WANA (Jun 12) – The Strait of Hormuz remains calm and under control, with dozens of vessels currently anchored and awaiting authorization to transit through the strategic waterway.

 

According to field reports, around 50 ships are stationed near the Strait of Hormuz, waiting for permission to continue their journeys. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy has stated that, due to security considerations and recent developments, vessel traffic through the strait has been temporarily suspended until further notice.

 

A significantly larger number of vessels are also anchored in secondary and tertiary anchorage areas. Estimates indicate that their numbers are many times greater than those currently waiting in the primary anchorage zone, with all of them awaiting further decisions regarding the resumption of maritime traffic.

 

Reports from the area indicate that despite the temporary suspension of transit, the Strait of Hormuz remains calm, and the situation is being managed under ongoing monitoring and supervision.
