WANA (Jul 18) – The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that American forces have concluded the seventh consecutive night of military strikes against targets in Iran.

According to a statement released by CENTCOM, the operation ended at 9:30 p.m. Eastern Time on July 17. The U.S. military claimed that the strikes targeted surveillance sites, military logistics infrastructure, underground weapons storage facilities, and Iran’s naval capabilities.

However, images and videos circulating from the affected areas indicate that civilian infrastructure was also damaged. Reports from Hormozgan Province state that at least three bridges and one urban tunnel were destroyed in overnight U.S. strikes.

CENTCOM said the operation involved fighter jets, armed drones, naval warships, and other military assets. The command also stated that, under the direction of the U.S. President, military operations against Iran will continue, while a full naval blockade of Iranian ports remains in effect.

The statement concluded by noting that more than 50,000 U.S. military personnel are currently deployed across the Middle East and remain on full alert.
